Sellers of this same model list very different peak-amp figures, and peak amps aren't a standard measurement anyway. We won't repeat a number we can't back up, so we don't publish one until we've tested it ourselves.

Part-charged, because lithium batteries ship that way. Charge it to full before you rely on it.

Check the battery gauge every month or so and top it up when it's no longer full. Store it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun, and don't leave it in a hot parked car.

Cold weakens every battery, including this one. Some sellers of this model claim it works far below freezing, but we haven't verified that, so we don't claim it. In very cold weather, keep it indoors and take it with you when you drive. Don't charge it below freezing.

We don't claim it can start a completely dead battery, because we haven't confirmed how this unit handles one. A jump starter works best on a battery that's run low, not one that's worn out or damaged. Never jump a frozen, cracked, swollen or leaking battery. A very old battery may not hold a charge even after a jump.

• Check your vehicle owner's manual first. If your car has a lithium 12V battery or remote jump terminals, follow its instructions.
• Red clamp to positive (+), black clamp to negative (−) or to bare engine metal if your vehicle's manual says so. Never let the clamps touch each other.
• Take off rings, watches and other metal jewelry, and keep metal tools away from the battery terminals.
• Route the clamps and leads away from the fan, belts, pulleys and other moving parts before you start the engine.
• If the engine doesn't start, stop and let the jump starter rest before you try again. Don't keep cranking without a break.
• Don't leave the jump starter unattended while it's connected to a battery.
• Never jump a frozen, cracked, swollen or leaking battery. Work in a ventilated area, wear eye protection and keep sparks and flames away.
• Inflate car tires only to the pressure on your vehicle's tire placard, and never inflate anything above the maximum printed on the tire sidewall or the item's label. Stay with the inflator while it runs and check with a separate gauge. The hose and fitting can get hot.
• Charge indoors at room temperature, on a hard non-flammable surface, and not while unattended. Don't leave it in direct sun or a hot parked car.
• Stop using it and contact us if it swells, smells, leaks or gets hot while idle. Don't open, crush or burn it. Never put it in household trash; recycle it at a battery drop-off (Call2Recycle in the US and Canada).
• Don't look directly into the LED light. Flashing light may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy. The light doesn't replace your vehicle's hazard lights or a warning triangle.
• Keep it away from children. It's not a toy.

Screw the air hose onto the outlet, attach the chuck to the valve, set your target with + and −, and turn it on. It's designed to stop at the set pressure (per the supplier listing). Stay with it while it runs, inflate only to the pressure on your vehicle's tire placard, and check with a separate gauge. It's a top-up pump for low tires, not a shop compressor.
